NOMC 2008 FALL RETREAT

RETREAT THEME: BETRAYAL/FORGIVENESS

We sometimes think of betrayal as a single event.  End of story.  But further investigation will show it as a new beginning, the opening of a part of the world we didn't know was there.  We begin to see the world and ourselves in a new light with new knowledge for better or for worse.  We invite you to explore with us your roles as the betrayed or the betrayer.

“ Look back over your life and note the holy and evolutionary qualities of betrayal” J. Houston

“Trust has in it the seed of betrayal”  J. Hillman

“When forgiveness is fully known and experienced in the soul, you can see the ‘betrayer’

as the instrument of the Larger Story”  J. Houston
